  • Replacement Tenant Accepted
    A replacement tenant must be eligible to book accommodation with the property. Before the tenancy start date: If a replacement tenant is proposed, the property has sole discretion to: Accept the proposed replacement tenant. Return the room to general sale. Allocate the room to a student on the waiting list. The tenant will be released from the tenancy agreement 7 days after one of the above actions has occurred.

    A booking fee of £100.00 is required to secure the bed space. The booking fee transfers to become the tenancy deposit once the tenant moves in. The deposit is protected under The Deposit Protection Service (Custodial Scheme). The deposit is refundable in full, provided there is no property damage or outstanding rent arrears.

    Tenants may choose to pay the rent in one full payment or by instalments. One full payment: The total rent is due on the tenancy start date. Monthly instalments: 51-week contract: Rent is divided into 11 monthly instalments. The first instalment is due on the tenancy start date, with subsequent payments due on the same date each month. 46-week contract: Rent is divided into 10 monthly instalments. The first instalment is due on the tenancy start date, with subsequent payments due on the same date each month. 41-week contract: Rent is divided into 9 monthly instalments. The first instalment is due on the tenancy start date, with subsequent payments due on the same date each month. Three-instalment plan: Rent is divided into 3 equal instalments. Instalments are due on: 28 September 2026 14 January 2027 14 April 2027 For the 2025/26 AY, the tenant has to pay full payment. If the tenant does not have a guarantor, full rent payment in advance is required.

    What do I need to bring when I move in?

    Bedding & Towels dont forget to check the bed size, most of beds are three-quarter double (which is 4 ft), but The Bridewell is mainly standard double (which is 4ft 6in).
    Kitchen Equipment they supply the cookers, microwaves, kettles and kitchen sink! You will need to bring your own equipment for cooking and crockery, cutlery.
    Housekeeping they supply a vacuum cleaner, dustpan and brush, mop and bucket and an ironing board for your convenience. You will need to bring your own iron, washing up equipment, laundry powders and cleaning products. Dont forget your loo rolls!
    Your own personal belongings whatever you need to make you comfortable. There are a few items not allowed at accommodation, these are listed in the code of conduct as well as your tenancy agreement and include candles, oil burners, tea lights, oil heaters, fairy lights, deep fat fryers or chip pans, laser pens and also any large items of furniture or equipment.
