    A 48-hour cooling-off period applies from the time the Licence Agreement is signed. Students may cancel their booking within the 48-hour cooling-off period by emailing the relevant accommodation team. The first instalment (equivalent to approximately one week's rent) becomes due after the 48-hour cooling-off period ends.     Students may cancel their booking up to 5 full days before the contract start date if they are unable to obtain a UK student visa. Written evidence of the visa refusal must be provided.     Early termination may be permitted in exceptional circumstances by mutual agreement. Approval is at the management's discretion. Additional charges may apply.   • Replacement Tenant Accepted
    Students wishing to cancel after the contract start date must find a suitable replacement tenant. The replacement tenant must: Sign a Licence Agreement for the full remaining licence period. Pay all rent due. Move into the accommodation. The original tenant is released from the Licence Agreement only after all the above conditions are met.     What should I bring with me?

    Their advice is to pack light and add to your student essentials as you go. There are the obvious things to pack, like your clothes, books, laptop, and favourite soft toy (they won’t tell anyone!). You’ll also need bedding (single or double depending on your accommodation), towels and stuff for the kitchen such as pots, pans, plates, cutlery etc… oh and labels for your food! Lots of what you need is available to buy from a wide range of shops where their accommodations are.

    How do I get things delivered?

    Everything is delivered to your student accommodation reception. A list is published each day so you can see if they’ve received that all important ASOS parcel – simply pop down to reception with some photo ID to collect it. Any letters will be delivered to your post box or under your door on the same day they receive them. If you want to deliver some new items such as bedding and kitchen items, they are happy to accept these once you’ve signed your contract. They’ll keep them safe until you arrive and they’ll even leave them in your room for when you arrive.

    How much does it cost to wash my clothes?

    All of their accommodation buildings have quality washing and drying machines for you to use. The cost to use the laundry facilities where you are living will differ slightly. Pricing information will be available once you’ve arrived and moved into your room. Typically, a wash will cost £2.50 and a dry will cost £1. You’ll need to buy your own detergent to use though.

    What if something breaks in my apartment?

    Nothing lasts forever and accidents do happen. If something is past its best, let their team know reception and one of their friendly maintenance team will come and make repairs or replace it. You’ll only ever be charged for this if the damage is clearly through misuse.

    Do I have contents insurance as part of my contract?

    Yes! They've arranged contents insurance for you at no extra cost through Gallagher Insurance. You’ll be covered against fire, flood, theft and the personal belongings inside your room (excluding mobile phones).
